We believe that a great learning environment only needs two things: passionate teachers and motivated students. With this in mind, we created Amagree as a space for international students and immigrants to find support and guidance, stay focused and reach their goal. We offer excellent test preparation classes for individuals or very small groups in a positive and motivating environment.
Hi, I'm Sara!
For the past ten years (maybe more?) I have been teaching English and Italian in many different contexts, (businesses, schools, universities and even prison) and I had the opportunity to observe learners from all over the world deal with very similar struggles: lack of confidence, fear to speak up and a terrible sense of frustration. Supporting you in overcoming these issues has become my mission!
Being a language learner myself, I know exactly how you feel. When I first left Italy I had very limited English, and I often felt inadequate in social situations. I missed out on many friendships but also on work opportunities, because I thought my English wasn’t good enough. With all this in mind, I now design my classes as a safe space for you to experiment with language and find your strengths, so that I can push you to the next level and you’ll find the confidence you need to live a full life in a new country!
My name is Joe,
I have been an English language teacher, and foreign language learner for 15 years. I am still teaching because I still love it. Helping my students reach their language goals is what drives me. Throughout the years, I’ve worked hard to understand and apply the best practices from a range of methodologies.
At the centre of my philosophy is understanding the student as an individual. Each of us has our own motivation for learning a language, and we all have different strengths and weaknesses, pressures and limitations. It is my belief that by keeping my focus on each student’s individual needs, I can best prepare tailored classes and supporting materials that are engaging, challenging, and give the students the tools they need to take their English to the next level.
